Arica Jane Schrader, 45, of Rushsylvania, passed away Sunday morning, May 1, 2016, at her home.
She was born in Logan County on July 15, 1970, to Carol Lynn Givens and Gary Joe Simmons and they survive in Rushsylvania.
Also surviving are husband, Herb Schrader, whom she married June 25, 1988, at the Back 40 in Rushsylvania; her children, Garrett Dale and Breanna Lynn (Ryan) Fay, both of Kenton; two grandchildren, Braxton and Keagan Fay; a brother, Gary Lewis (Leslee) Simmons of Rushsylvania; her mother-in-law, Emma Spence of Rushsylvania; several nieces and nephews, including Jade, Ethan and Chloe Simmons; brother-in-law, Bob (Toni) Schrader of Logan County; sister-in-law, Susie (Bob) Slagle of Berlin, Ohio; step in-laws, Mike (Mary) Spence, Shirley (Fred) Hawkins, Eva, Val Givens and Carol (Mike) Sumney. Arica was preceded in death by her stepfather-in-law, Arven Spence.
She was a 1988 graduate of Ohio Hi-Point, where she specialized in secretarial and word processing. A domestic engineer, she provided child care out of her home for more than 20 years. Arica also worked at Noah’s Ark from 2010-14. She was a member of the Rushsylvania Church of Christ. Arica loved all kids, but took great enjoyment from her kids and grandkids.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Belle Center. John James officiates a graveside service at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at the Rushsylvania Cemetery.
