Student achievement made possible through the legacy of Dr. Earl Sloan was celebrated by staff and students at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center during an annual reception honoring the late benefactor conducted Sept. 6.
Students and Hi-Point administrators addressed Sloan Foundation Trustees, thanking them for the support provided to the career center.
Four student speakers credited the Sloan Foundation for enhancing their educational curriculum.
“I must convey my deepest gratitude to Earl S. Sloan and his powerful legacy,” said Adrian Blanken, a cosmetology student at Hi-Point.
“My dream, along with many other kids’, come true every day in our daily attendance of something as mundane and routine as high school.
“Every day I am delighted to remember that I’m one step closer to achieving success for my future thanks to Sloan and all of his lasting investments.”
