Ohio Hi-Point school Board of Education in a regular meeting Wednesday accepted more than $17,000 in learning materials for the aviation and satellite manufacturing programs, and approved the retirements of two teachers.
The board approved the donations of a Ranger and a Continental aircraft engine for use in the aviation program. The engines are valued at $9,500 and $4,500, respectively, and were donated by Jim White and Rick Rademacher.
Also accepted were about $4,000 in materials including used hydraulic cylinders and circuit breakers from Honda Transmission Manufacturing of America, Inc. of Russells Point for use in the satellite manufacturing program.
