A suspect accused of molesting three girls over a six-year period now faces additional charges with specifications that he is a repeat violent offender.
Dennis J. Bradshaw Jr., 41, who was previous indicted by a Logan County grand jury, allegedly victimized two girls at locations in Bellefontaine and a girl in Lakeview between August 2014 and August 2020.
The amended indictment adds now adds the specifications on top of the 11 charges handed up by grand juries in April and May.
If found guilty, it requires a judge to impose the maximum sentence and open the door to add up to 10 years on top of the maximum sentences.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department investigated the cases involving the first two victims and the third was brought to the attention of deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office after April’s indictments.
One victim was 8 years old when the alleged abuse occurred, a second victim was 14 when it started and continued for three years while the third was just 4.
Bradshaw is charged with gross sexual imposition, a felony of the third degree, for his alleged actions regarding the first victim.
He faces two counts of rape, felonies of the first degree; attempted rape, a felony of the second degree; and three counts gross sexual imposition, felonies of the fourth degree, for the second victim.
Two counts of gross sexual imposition, felonies of the third degree, were handed up in regards to the third victim.
He was apprehended in late May and remains lodged in the Logan County Jail.
