Nicholas T. Wheeler, 25, of Lima, was charged Sunday with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Around 1:50 a.m. he was stopped at Fontaine Plaza shopping center, 1710 S. Main St., after a witness called to report the motorist for erratic driving.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report his speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. They also detected an order of alcohol.
Field sobriety tests indicated he was impaired by alcohol and his breathalyzer sample was 0.124.
• Luke L. Storer-Stolly, 26, of 500 Shortridge St., was charged Saturday with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs after a 10:35 p.m. traffic stop. He was cited for driving left of center and disregarding traffic signals.
An officer on patrol observed him in a sport utility vehicle driving left of center on Brody Drive and then run a red light at Gunntown Road and Main Street.
He was stopped after he pulled into McDonald’s, 1780 S. Main St.
The motorist stepped out of his vehicle upon the officer’s request. He was unsteady on his feet and leaned against the vehicle for balance.
Field sobriety tests indicated he was impaired by alcohol. His breathalyzer sample was 0.122.
