Brandon Dosch, 29, of Lake Orion, Mich., was charged with assault, and Dustin Coate, 21, of Pleasant Hill, was issued a summons for assault related to an incident early Sunday morning at Froggy’s at the Lake, 11065 Township Road 293, Lakeview.
Deputies working a security detail at the bar received a report about 1 a.m. about a fight taking place at the bar. They noted that a group of people were in a large circle where the fight was taking place, and that Dosch was still actively trying to fight other people when deputies arrived.
Deputies reportedly took Dosch to the ground because of his violent behavior, and he would not comply with their orders until deputies threatened to deploy a Taser on him.
He was placed under arrest, and he identified the “other guy” in the fight as Coate.
Coate was located by deputies, and he had sustained visible injuries and was bleeding from his head. He was transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital.
Witnesses told deputies that Coate and Dosch had been in a verbal argument that evening, and at one point, Coate allegedly threw an unidentified liquid at Dosch. Dosch then in turn allegedly punched Coate in the face.
Dosch was placed under arrest and lodged in the jail, while Coate was issued the summons and released to medical personnel.
