The Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities approved two new positions at their Thursday evening meeting — a behavior invention specialist and a therapy service coordinator.
Regarding the positions, Superintendent Saul Bauer explained he recently met with leaders from mental health, drug and alcohol services; school districts; and Mac-O-Chee Learning Center.
All agencies have seen a significant increase in problem behaviors over the past two years, and the leaders said there is a need for additional behavior supports in Logan County.
The board approved a move to quickly hire these positions to help eligible families in addressing this need.
