Nancy M. Thompson, 74, of Spencerville, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017, at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born in Columbus on Sept. 2, 1942, to the late Paul and Violet Shaver Bocook. A son, Fred Steinhelfer; a brother, Ronald Bocook; and a nephew, Tommy Scott, also preceded Nancy in death.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Steve) Forster and Tim Steinhelfer, both of Bellefontaine, and Christy Thompson of Lima; her grandchildren, Holly (Shannon), Tyler, Blake, Morgan, Ron (Jen) John, Amy, Misti, Megan, Tim, Katie and Madison; sister and best friend in life, Judy (Tom) Scott of Alabama; special friends that she loved beyond words, Heather Settlemiere and Peg Savage; and lots of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Nancy graduated from West High in Columbus in 1960. She retired from Daido Metal in Bellefontaine after 30 years of service. Nancy was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. She loved being around her family and grandkids. All who loved Nancy will miss her.
Pastor Bryan Meadows officiates a memorial service at 4 p.m. today, Thursday, April 27, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 27. A private family burial takes place at the family’s convenience.
