TILLMAN |
Following a tedious process of researching his top choices, Bellefontaine basketball standout Dawsin Tillman made his college decision official this week.
Tillman has decided to continue his hoops career at Ohio Wesleyan University.
“I definitely feel like it is the right fit for me,” said Tillman. “It has everything I am looking for. First off, it is a great academic school. The location in Delaware is nice and I felt like I fit in well with their basketball program. I have built a good relationship with their coaching staff and it is a winning program. I like to compete, so I wanted to go to a school with a winning tradition.”
A versatile 6-5 guard, Tillman attracted the interest of numerous NCAA Division III programs. He also strongly considered Marietta, Capital and Wittenberg.
“I think Dawsin made a great choice and I think OWU will be a great fit,” said Bellefontaine boys basketball coach Jason Calton. “Coach (Mike) Dewitt and his staff have done an outstanding job while at OWU. He has been there for 18 years and the program is established and very stable. They just won the NCAC again, going 21-7 and they have an all-league player and an All-American player back, so they are set to defend their title again.”
