Bellefontaine’s baseball team saw a strong pitching performance and a timely hitting display to grab a 5-0 win over visiting Greenon Thursday in Central Buckeye Conference play.
The Chieftains move to 9-7 overall and 3-4 in the CBC, while the Knights slide to 9-7, 3-6.
Bellefontaine scored its first run in the second inning. The Chieftains pulled away with three runs in the fourth inning for a 4-0 advantage.
Bellefontanie scored its last run in the fifth inning and held off Greenon the rest of the way.
