SIDNEY — A theft investigation led officers of the Sidney Police Department to a suspected meth lab.
Richard V. Hensley, 38, was arrested after officers went to his 221 1/2 North West Ave. at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a theft of a credit card.
During the investigation, officers saw several items used to cook methamphetamine and the residence was secured while the Sidney Narcotics Unit obtained a search warrant. Officers recovered several ingredients and tools used to cook methamphetamine, along with other drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Hensley was taken to the Shelby County Jail on charges of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and illegal manufacture of drugs.
