Douglas W. Bolling, 29, of 403 John Ave., Bellefontaine, was charged with felony possession of drugs and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug abuse instruments following an incident Tuesday in the parking lot of Honda of America Mfg. of East Liberty, 11000 State Route 347.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area about 5:50 p.m. on a report of a suspicious person.
Mr. Bolling reportedly had been trying to hitchhike from the property when he was approached by the facility’s security staff. He then gave the security officers a false name.
When deputies arrived, Mr. Bolling was sitting in a vehicle that he said belonged to his cousin. He said that afternoon he rode in the vehicle with his cousin, who had to report to work.
Deputies searched Mr. Bolling, and found a metal spoon and a shoestring in his pockets. He admitted using the two items to inject heroin that day.
Upon searching the vehicle with the owner’s permission, deputies also found a syringe that belonged to Mr. Bolling. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail. His probation officer also was contacted about the incident.
Driver cited in S.R. 47, 235 crash
Jeramy Risdon, 36, of Sidney, was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign following a crash Tuesday evening at the intersection of state routes 235 and 47.
