Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department served a warrant on a suspected drug dealer Sunday afternoon and added more charges when they recovered crack cocaine and more than $950 in cash from the suspect.
Dwight Howard, 58, at large, was wanted for complicity to drug trafficking as part of a Logan County Joint Drug Task Force investigation. His new offenses are trafficking in drugs and possession of crack cocaine.
An off-duty officer spotted him on a bicycle around 6 p.m. in the 500 block of south Main Street. Uniformed officers confronted him outside Speedy Mart, 511 S. Main St., to serve the warrant.
The crack cocaine was found in his socks while the cash was recovered from the pockets of his shorts.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Tuesday, Tony Maurice Robinson, 23, of 868 E. Sandusky Ave., Apt. 134, was arrested on warrants for two counts of trafficking in crack cocaine. He was taken into custody at the Adult Parole Authority, 111 S. Madriver St. as part of a task force investigation.
Detectives report he has convictions in 2012 and 2015 for drug trafficking.
He was sentenced in June to the West Central Community Correction Facility and released in October. He was arrested in November on a probation violation and warrants were issued in January for the current charges.
He was lodged in jail after Tuesday’s arrest.

Patient removed from MRH
Lawrence R. Beair, 57, of 1109 Greenwood St., Apt. 107, was charged with persistent disorderly conduct after an 8:50 p.m. incident Tuesday at Mary Rutan Hospital.
He was uncooperative with emergency department staff and was taken into custody.
Officers also served a warrant for violating a protection order to the defendant.
He was lodged in jail.

Township police log drug-related arrest
After receiving a call from a concerned grandmother, Washington Township Police charged James William Gilliam, 32, with possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia at their 7273 Delaware Drive, Lewistown, home around noon Tuesday.
Mr. Gilliam was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
