Riverside’s Marissa Davis and Ridgemont’s Priscilla Howland earned top honors to lead the area girls on the recently released all-Northwest Central Conference basketball team.
Davis and Howland were the lone local players to receive all-league first-team honors.
Honorable mention picks went to the Pirates’ Aubrey Stephens and Shelby Giles and the Gophers’ Sara McFarland and Meadow Cromer.
Riverside finished third in the NWCC standings with a 3-3 record, while the Gophers ended up fifth with a 2-4 record.
Upper Scioto Valley went a perfect 6-0 to claim the NWCC girls championship. The Rams were rewarded with Emily Patton earning player of the year honors and Mike Risner earning coach of the year honors.
Rounding out the first-team selections were USV’s Shelby Spradlin, Hardin Northern’s Holly Wilson and Lehman Catholic’s Allie Hall.
The second-team squad included USV’s Kaycee Carroll, Lehman Catholic’s Hannah Fogt, Waynesfield-Goshen’s Jenna Crawford and Paige Crawford and Hardin Northern’s Micheala Curtis.
Landing spots on the rest of the honorable mention list were Upper Scioto Valley’s Maddison Lowery and Callie Daniels, Hardin Northern’s Ashton Dye and Morgan Madison, Lehman Catholic’s Alanna O’Leary and Grace Monnin, Lima Perry’s Kyazia Healey and E’Nautica Crockett and W-Goshen’s Bailie Barrington and Kayla Wicker.
