The Tigers were on a mission this winter and reached their primary goal of becoming Ohio Heritage Conference champions Thursday after dropping visiting Greeneview 56-48.
WL-Salem is now 18-2 overall and 12-1 in the OHC. The win over the Rams secured an outright OHC crown. The Tigers have a two-game lead over Southeastern with one league game remaining.
“We set quite a few goals and this was the first one,” said WL-Salem head coach Dennis McIntosh. “We need to finish out strong now. We have two games left and the girls are excited about the tournament. Hopefully, we can stay focused, injury free and keep the ball rolling.”
