June Charlene Huber, 82, passed away Jan. 7, 2016, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Bellefontaine as the only child of Charles and Lucille Graham, the family made their home in Zanesfield, where June was raised along with her first cousin, Lewis Linson.
Following graduation from Zanesfield High School, she began employment with the railroad in Bellefontaine. She became the bride of Lowell Huber in 1956 and the couple made their home on County Road 18 in Bellefontaine where they raised three children and resided for more than 59 years.
June was employed at the Logan County Juvenile Probate Court as deputy clerk. Upon retirement, she and Lowell enjoyed many years of travel throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean.
A longtime member of First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine, June served the congregation on altar guild and the church’s outreach ministry, Our Daily Bread. In addition, she volunteered as a reading mentor with Bellefontaine Elementary Schools.
She is survived by her husband, Lowell, and their children, Chuck (Lorrie) Huber, David (Tina) Huber and Cheryl (the late Scott) Hanna; as well as five grandchildren.
A funeral is for 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at the First Lutheran Church, 208 W. Sandusky Ave., Bellefontaine, where calling hours begin at 9:30 a.m. A luncheon follows the service. Burial is at 2 p.m. at Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church.
