Detectives with the Logan County Unified Drug Task Force arrested two defendants Monday in two different locations on felony drug-related warrants.
Justin P. Strickland, 45, reportedly was arrested in front of his residence of 624 Jay Ave., Bellefontaine.
Detectives arrested Strickland after a drug trafficking investigation resulted in an arrest warrant for trafficking in a schedule II drug. Strickland was lodged in the Logan County Jail on the arrest warrants, along with charges of resisting arrest and carrying concealed weapons.
In a second arrest, detectives took Matthew B. Bugg,28, of 816 Heritage Court Dr., Bellefontaine, into custody.
Detectives reportedly were investigating Bugg for trafficking in a schedule II substance, resulting in a Logan County grand jury indictment for his arrest.
When Bugg was located, he was found in possession of a schedule III drug. The defendant was arrested without incident and lodged in the Logan County Jail on the warrant.
The Logan County Unified Drug Task Force is comprised of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Township Police Department, Russells Point Police Department, West Liberty Police Department and DeGraff Police Department.
