One person was transported by MedFlight helicopter to the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus for injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash at 5:50 a.m. today.
Deputies report that crash occurred on County Road 55 just south of County Road 10 when a northbound car struck a deer, and then went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree stump. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest in a field.
The crash victim was partially ejected from the car. The vehicle sustained heavy damage. Tri-Valley Fire and EMS also responded to the scene. Further details were unavailable at press time.
Theft of firearm reported
Deputies responded to 11344 Mohawk Path, Lakeview, about 6:30 p.m. Monday regarding the reported theft of a firearm.
Loretta L. Taylor of New Carlisle said a .38-caliber Ruger handgun had been taken from the residence sometime Sunday or Monday. Deputies did not observe any signs of forced entry.
