Zanesfield Village Council members discussed the village’s annual summer block party during their recent meeting at the Tri-Valley Fire Department.
The block party is slated for 3 to 9 p.m. July 23.
The block party vendor fee will be $25 and it will be non-refundable for all vendors.
Those fees can be sent to: P.O. Box 62, Zanesfield, OH 43360.
Council also discussed the village’s spring clean up dates, potentially looking at May 13-16. Fiscal officer Heather Clapsaddle will call around to get prices for Dumpsters.
Village officials also noted that Zanesfield is still looking for a council member to fill the vacant seat, as well as a vacant spot for the public commissions.
Members were informed that the Christmas wreaths in the village have been taken down.
The village is also examining looking for a better way to keeping the road on Water Street in shape.
Clapsaddle said the 2021 financials have been submitted to the state and can be reviewed upon request.
Mike Yoder was in attendance and informed the members that he is running for county commissioner in the May primary election.
The following resolutions were passed:
• to pay the bills totaling $1,052.19;
• to establish the American Rescue Plan funding for 2022; and
• to approve the permanent appropriations for 2022 totaling $117,744.44.
The next meeting is 7 p.m. April 4.
