The Zanesfield Village Council accepted at their Monday meeting the resignation of member Jonathan Superchi, effective May 1.
Mayor Jason Deal also informed members that he will not be seeking re-election once his term expires at the end of this year.
The council also discussed the guardrail that was installed on the corner of Bellefontaine and Main streets, as well as ways to repair Water Street.
The village block party is still planned for noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 24, and organizers are seeking additional vendors.
Mayor Deal updated council about items that were mentioned at the countywide mayor’s meeting regarding funding, etc.
Members also approved the payment of bills totaling $1,102.28.
The next meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday, June 7, at either the Tri-Valley Fire Department or the Sloan Library in the basement.
