Village concerns addressed in Zanesfield
Zanesfield Village Council met in regular session Monday in the Sloan Library.
Grace Grant and Natalie Austin shared experiences from their recent Benjamin Logan eighth-grade trip to Washington, D.C. Council presented each of them scholarships from the Sloan Trust to attend. They expressed their appreciation for the monetary assistance.
Following presentations about their interest in filling , Jason Deal was appointed from among several interested canidates to fill the unexpired council term of Gene Fout.
Residents voiced concerns regarding the ongoing drainage ditch project, speeding in the village and holes on Water Street and at Main and Bellefontaine.

Huntsville to address invoice increase
The Huntsville Council agreed at a recent meeting not to pay the Republic Services invoice until investigation into why the invoice for yearly clean-up days was substantially more than last year’s invoice.
Clerk Lori Fisher will call to try and resolve the issue.
Several people have complained about the open burning that is happening in the village. Residents are reminded of the laws against open burning.
It was brought to the council’s attention that there are two campers that have people living in them without water or sewer hookups. Council will call the Logan County Health District to find out how to proceed.
