Man reports scam
A city man reported he received a call from a female claiming he owed on a payday lender loan that he never took out.
She threatened she would garnish his wages, suspend his driver’s license and take him to court if he did not begin paying $161 a week.
He told her he would have to get his bank information and call her back.
Instead, he called officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department to report the scam.
