Monika L. Jones, 33, of Toledo, was charged Tuesday with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and persistent disorderly conduct.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to Comfort Inn, 260 Northview Drive, around 11:20 p.m. to investigate a heavily intoxicated woman found laying on the floor outside room. Jones was inside the room when they arrived.
She would collapse on the floor and repeatedly passed out as they tried to assess her condition. Medics with a Bellefontaine squad determined she need medical attention and she was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital.
While at the motel, officers spoke with several witnesses who reported she was driving a sport utility vehicle and nearly crashed with other vehicles.
Those witnesses were able to convince her to park the SUV which she did.
However, she drove over a curb and hit pine tree in the process
