Tiffani J. Hunter, 37, of Marysville, was charged Thursday with felony counts of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Around 12:55 a.m., an officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed her drive an eastbound car from Jay Avenue south on one-way northbound Walker Street.
The officer initiated a stop and she reportedly drove into the front yard of 509 Walker. After making contact with Hunter, she was ordered out of the car. She was reportedly unsteady on her feet and unable to communicate clearly. She denied abusing street drugs or drinking alcohol.
A prescription-only pill was found in the center console of the vehicle and a pill bottle with two different types of prescription-only pills was found in Hunter’s. Of the three prescriptions types found, only one set of pills matched the prescription on the bottle, according to the incident report.
Hunter participated in field sobriety tests which indicated she was impaired. She provided a breathalyzer sample of 0.093 and urine was collected under appropriate supervision for laboratory testing.
The officer noted Hunter was convicted of OVI in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020, the last of which was a felony conviction in Union County.
Hunter also was charged with misdemeanor possession of drugs and issued traffic citations for driving under suspension, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and failure to reinstate driving privileges.
She was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Jeffrey McCall Jr., 43, and his son, Jace McCall, 14, both of 605 N. Madriver St., each was charged Wednesday with domestic violence after two separate incidents within an hour.
Around 9:45 p.m., Jace allegedly slapped his father in the face after the father stopped him from chasing a sibling through the house.
The teen was lodged on a delinquency charge in the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
By 10:40 p.m., officers were back at the residence after a daughter called police dispatchers. The call was abruptly cutoff as dispatchers were talking with the girl.
Officers found the father bloodied from an altercation with another son who had since left the residence. Officers noted a dining table was destroyed and there was blood in the dining room and kitchen.
The daughter told officers her father was intoxicated and that led to an altercation with the brother. When the father realized she was calling police, he allegedly took her cellular phone, pulled he by the hair and hit her on the left side of her head.
A Bellefontaine squad transported the father to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of a laceration in the area of his left eyebrow. He was uncooperative with hospital staff and transported to jail.
He also faces a charged of felony disruption of public services for cutting off his daughter’s 911 call.
Man crashes bicycle riding away from police
Jakob C. Yule, 24, of 113 Powers St., was charged Wednesday with criminal trespassing and obstructing official business.
At 10:55 p.m., officers met with Morgan Wilcoxon outside her 530 E. Chillicothe Ave. residence. She told them Yule had entered the residence and would not leave. She called friends to help convince him to leave and his father showed up to get him out of the house.
When Yule and his father emerged out the front door, Yule spotted officers, stepped back inside, closed the door and locked it.
An officer went to a side door and gained entry but Yule had ran out a back door toward Eastern Avenue.
Officers began patrolling the area making sure to check the Wilcoxon residence. Soon, Yule was spotted in the rear yard but he exited toward the front. He stole a bicycle from a neighbor and rode westbound on Chillicothe.
An officer tailed him in a cruiser repeatedly ordering him to stop but he continued on heading south on city streets to Patterson Avenue where he crashed. He was taken into custody.
Upon arriving at the jail, he complained of a wrist injury and was transported to MRH for treatment. There, he refused treatment and walked out.
He was again stopped, taken into custody and finally lodged in jail.
