Tammi L. Ramsey-Werner, 45, of Kenton, was charged with a felony count of domestic violence related to an incident Friday.
Officers of the Russells Point Police Department responded about 5:45 p.m. to the McDonald’s parking lot, 431 E. Main St., on a report of a man struck by a vehicle driven by his estranged wife.
The victim stated Ramsey-Werner, followed him to McDonald’s after meeting him for dinner at Woody’s restaurant.
Ramsey-Werner reportedly was found inside the victim’s vehicle with his smart phone when he returned to the parking lot.
An argument reportedly ensued when the defendant refused to return the phone and threw it to the ground.
Ramsey-Werner attempted to leave the scene in her vehicle. The victim stood in front of the vehicle in an attempt to keep her there until law enforcement could be contacted.
Witnesses stated Ramsey-Werner drove the vehicle forward, striking the male and causing him to fall to the ground.
Indian Lake EMS responded to the scene and the victim refused transport to the hospital.
The defendant was still in the driver’s seat in the parking lot when officers arrived. Officers determined the victim and their two children, who were present at the scene, have a protection order against Ramsey-Werner.
Ramsey-Werner has prior cases of domestic violence and violating a protection order. She was lodged in the Logan County Jail and the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the case for possible additional charges.
