An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed a black sports utility vehicle driven by Coy that was northbound around 12:20 a.m. on Detroit Street at Carter Avenue.
He did not stop at the intersection, rolled past a stop sign and turned westbound onto Carter. The officer followed and paced Coy’s vehicle at 37 mph in a 25-mph zone.
Coy also was observed driving off the right side of the road several times on Carter and then on Plumvalley Street before traffic stop was initiated on Chillicothe Avenue.
Upon contact, the officer detected an odor of alcohol while talking with Coy.
Field sobriety tests indicated he was impaired and his breathalyzer sample was recorded at 0.11.
He was cited for a stop sign violation, failure to control and speeding.
• Michael E. Vogler, 54, of 8981 Hilltop Drive, Lakeview, was charged Sunday with obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Around 7:45 p.m., a retired police officer reported Vogler was driving a black pickup northbound on north Main Street and was all over the roadway. Vogler had pulled into Ranchers, 1130 N. Main St. when officers arrived to find him in the drive-up lane of the restaurant.
Vogler completed his transaction and parked his pickup. Officers then approached his vehicle and detected an odor of alcohol on him as he spoke with them.
Their interaction with Vogler deteriorated as he continually ignored various orders to turn off the pickup and to quit grabbing his right front pants pocket.

Officers found pocket knife in the pocket.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail on a probation violation and the new charges.
