Alicia M. McCollum, 33, of 15348 N. State Route 235, Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence following an incident at her address Friday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 6:10 p.m. to her residence on a report of a domestic dispute. When they arrived, they observed that her live-in boyfriend, Todd M. Johoske, 44, had sustained marks to his neck.
Mr. Johoske said his girlfriend had arrived home that day and said she was going to take a bath. She reportedly consumed several beers in the meantime, and then went outside to a swimming pool on the property.
While outside, she began yelling at her boyfriend, and then came inside the residence and allegedly pushed him several times into a wall and continued to assault him while he tried to get away. He reported that she then fell down the stairs at the residence.
Deputies observed that Ms. McCollum was highly intoxicated, and she claimed that Mr. Johoske had assaulted her. She was transported to the Logan County Jail.
OVI arrest logged following parking lot crash
Taylor L. Berning, 26, of Botkins, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs following a parking lot crash about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies responded to a report of a crash at Froggy’s, 11065 Township Road 293, Lakeview.
Mr. Berning reportedly was trying to back his pickup and struck a car operated by Tyler Renner, 23, of Sidney, that was attempting to exit the parking lot.
Deputies observed that Mr. Berning displayed signs of intoxication. He refused to take field sobriety tests or a breath test. En route to the jail, deputies noted that he fell asleep in the patrol car.
• Myles A. Shaefer, 28, of 1431 S. Detroit St., Bellefontaine, was issued a summons for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and was cited for driving under suspension following a non-injury crash Friday morning.
Deputies report a westbound sport utility vehicle operated by Joshua A. Lee, 24, of Bellefontaine, reportedly failed to stop at a red light at state routes 274 and 235. The SUV then struck a northbound vehicle operated by Mr. Shaefer.
After the collision, both vehicles went off the northwest side of the intersection.
Mr. Shaefer was operating the vehicle without permission from the owner, Brian Knowlton of Wapakoneta.
Mr. Lee also was cited for a red light violation.
