Monica Lehmon, 28, of 207 E. Buckeye St., Belle Center, was charged Friday with assault after she punched a babysitter around 11:30 p.m. at 410 N. Detroit St.
Maycie Maddox, of Bellefontaine, told officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department she was watching the defendant’s child at the residence and asked the suspect to return and pick up her child.
The defendant returned upset and struck the victim, pulled her hair and bit her left arm.
The suspect was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Man reports armed robbery
Lynn Manley of Lima reported at 3:30 a.m. Sunday a short, black male robbed him at gunpoint in the 300 block of north Elm Street.
Mr. Manley was standing outside his car when the gunman approached and took his wallet with cash and a 12-pack of beer.
• Dale M. Johnson, 324 Walnut St., reported Saturday a named female suspect took money from his wallet.
Three face domestic violence charges

Derek W. Horne, 31, of 224 E. Auburn Ave., was charged at 5:30 a.m. Sunday with domestic violence.
He allegedly destroyed the inside of his home and assaulted Briana A. Queen, of the same address.
She did not want to file charges, but told police the suspect became enraged after a night out.
Ms. Queen had a swollen lip, scratches on her neck and a large bruise near her jaw line.
He was lodged in jail.
• Kaitlyn Jo Ann Copeland, 18, of 812 Heritage Court, Apt. 14, was charged Thursday with domestic violence and underage consumption of alcohol.
She allegedly assaulted Breanna Copeland, of the same address, around 12:15 a.m.
The suspect was located at her mother’s residence, 149 W. Sandusky Ave., and served summonses in lieu of arrest.

• Thor Stepp Jr., 25, of 300 N. Detroit St., was charged Friday with domestic violence. Around 11 p.m., he kicked open a door in the residence and it struck his brother, Xavier, in the head.
He was lodged in jail.
