Madison P. Neubauer, 26, of 528 S. Main St., Apt. D, Bellefontaine, was issued a summons for two counts of theft Monday for incidents at A & E Campground, 3299 State Route 540, Bellefontaine.
Deputies responded to the campground about 4:15 p.m. to speak to the campground manager about several stolen items.
A homemade firewood rack owned by David Frasher and an outdoor area rug owned by Darran Conley each were recovered at Neubauer’s lot.
Deputies responded to lot 51 to speak with Neubauer. She eventually admitted to taking the items, but stated that she hadn’t observed any activity at the two respective lots for a long time, so she thought it would be OK to take the items.
The items were returned to their respective owners.
Man charged with OVI in April crash
Justin K. Campbell, 57, of 8277 Church Road, West Liberty, has been charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to a previously reported rollover injury crash April 10, deputies report.
He reportedly was operating a southbound minivan on County Road 1 near County Road 55 about 5:05 p.m. when he exited the roadway and traveled across two driveways before striking a mailbox. He then re-entered the road and struck a guardrail and a cement culvert. His vehicle overturned and came to rest in a field on its top.
Campbell was transported from the scene by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He was later transferred to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
Deputies executed a search warrant for Campbell’s medical records at Mary Rutan Hospital, and were informed that the defendant’s plasma ethyl alcohol content was 0.24. He also was cited for driving under suspension, failure to control and no seat belt.
Hit-skip driver cited in Ridgeway crash
Brendan W. Farley, 34, of Findlay, was cited for failure to exchange data after a crash related to a non-injury crash early Saturday morning in the village of Ridgeway.
Deputies report he was operating a northbound 2016 GMC Terrain on south Main Street about 3:30 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the east side of the road, entering the grass and striking a utility pole and a mailbox at 201 S. Main St., and re-entering the road.
The vehicle then went off the west side of the road, striking another mailbox at 198 S. Main St. Damage was heavy to the SUV.
