Anna Rogers, 42, of Woodstock, was flown by CareFlight helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in a crash about 9:50 a.m. Tuesday.
Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report she was operating a southbound pickup near County Road 44 when she drove left of center. She then drove off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected and traveled back across the center line and southbound lane and off the right side of the roadway.
Her pickup struck a concrete bridge and overturned onto the driver’s side, pinning Rogers inside.
Troopers said the driver was wearing her seat belt. Her vehicle was towed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
No injuries reported after vehicle catches fire
Troopers responded about 3 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a vehicle that caught on fire in the area of U.S. Route 68 south of State Route 274.
Joseph Kielman, 35, of Bellefontaine, reportedly was operating a southbound car when his vehicle caught on fire in the motor compartment.
He and his passengers sustained no apparent injuries and the occupants were wearing their seat belts, troopers said. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No were citations issued.
• Benjamin Hollander, 34, of West Liberty, did not report any injuries in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on State Route 287 at S.R. 559.
He reportedly was operating a northeastbound car about 8 a.m. when he failed to maintain control on the wet roadway. He traveled off the right side of the road, striking a junction box and continued into a grove of trees.
Hollander was wearing his seat belt. The crash remains under investigation.
