West Liberty-Salem’s girls track and field team is firing on all cylinders as the postseason nears. The Tigers finished off the regular season Thursday by dominating the Ohio Heritage Conference meet and winning the North Division title at Greenon High School.

The Tiger girls won 15 of 17 events and piled up 210 points for the team’s seventh consecutive league title. It is the program’s 19th conference title in school history.
“Winning a conference title is a team goal our program strives for every year,” said WL-Salem girls head coach Ann Vogel. “I’m especially excited and proud of our seniors for being a part of four conference championships during their careers. Their leadership has been crucial to our success this year. We talked a lot this week about focus, taking care of business and giving an elite effort and I think our performance reflected that.”
