Wilson “Willy” Anderson, 81, of Lewistown, passed away early Sunday morning, Nov. 1, 2020, at his home with his family by his side.
Willy was born on March 24, 1939, in Stokes Township, Logan County, a son of the late Ray and Glenna Roughton Anderson.
He is survived by two children, Stacy Barley of Wildwood, Fla., and Mick (Vickie) Anderson of Lakeview, five grandsons, Matthew, Tyler and Chad Barley and Anthony and Nathan Anderson, and a sister, Ruby Clark of Bellefontaine.
Willy was a 1957 graduate of Stokes Local School. He was a member of Bellefontaine Rotary. Willy was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed flying including being a member of the Civil Air Patrol. Willy started Anderson Ford Sales in 1972. In 1980 he purchased MacGillivray Motors adding Lincoln and Mercury. He built a new facility on U.S. 68 South in 1990 where the dealership currently operates in Bellefontaine.
Ed Shady will begin graveside services at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Huntsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Mr. Anderson’s name may be given to Campbell House or Interim Hospice Care.
