William E. “Bill” Craig, 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017, in Kindred Hospital, Lima.
He was born in Moorefield on July 27, 1943, a son of the late Harry and Bula Smith Craig. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Craig, and a sister, Nancy Slonecker.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Eckhardt Craig, whom he married March 24, 1990, in Bellefontaine; two sons, William “Bill” (Lisa) Craig of Florida and Michael Craig of Bellefontaine; six stepchildren, Sheryl Epps of Bellefontaine, Heather (Mike) Bauer and Adrian (Jon) Huffman, all of Bellefontaine, Ruth (Chip) Longbrake of Rushsylvania, Lenard Epps of West Liberty and Shannon (Gary) Kraut of Wisconsin; and one brother, Paul (Peg) Craig of Delaware, Ohio; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bill enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Cincinnati Reds. He was a big fan of country music and spending time fishing.
Bill worked for the Voight Corporation, where he retired.
