Lakers survive scare, rally past Warriors
Indian Lake found itself down 10 points in the fourth quarter Friday against visiting Northwestern, but fought back for a 35-24 win in a Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division football battle.

The Warriors scored two touchdowns and field goal in the second half to take a 24-14 lead with 11:01 to play in the game. The Lakers responded with three rushing touchdowns by senior Connor Dixon in the final nine minutes of the game to grab the victory.
The dramatic comeback pushes Indian Lake to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the CBC Mad River division.
Offensively for the Lakers, Clay Jacobs completed 17-of-26 passes for 211 yards and two scores. Dixon finished with 149 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries, while Collin Coburn had 136 receiving yards on nine catches.
Late TDS push Ben Logan past Tecumseh
Benjamin Logan trailed early and trailed late, but led in the end Friday, outlasting visiting Tecumseh 32-21 in a Central Buckeye Conference league game.

A two-yard touchdown run by quarterback Derek Coy put the Raiders up for good late in the fourth quarter, and a pick-six by Grant Ward on the ensuing Arrow possession sealed a comeback victory for Benjamin Logan that saw the home team trail 7-0 in the first, and 21-20 late in the fourth quarter.
The Raiders racked up 361 yards of total offense, including 245 through the air on the strength of 25-43 passing from Coy and 116 rushing total rushing yards. Trent Berry anchored the Raiders running game, carrying 13 times for 54 yards.
Ward and Cole Waugh led the Raiders in receiving. Waugh caught 11 passes for 100 yards, and Ward hauled in nine for 85 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Coy also rushed for 42 yards on eight carries and a rushing TD.
Riverside chips away at USV
Deliberate and methodical, Riverside’s football team churned out a 32-0 victory over visiting Upper Scioto Valley in a Northwest Central Conference game.

The Pirates improve to 5-2 overall and stay unbeaten in the NWCC at 4-0. The Rams fall to 3-4, 2-1.
Gaven Anderson piled up 121 rushing yards with a touchdown on 18 carries. Kale Long completed six passes for 121 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Nick Hall led the Pirates with 12 tackles, Gavin Stallard had 10 tackles and Andrew Racine and Roby each had seven tackles.
Fast start propels Tigers to rout of Cardinals
West Liberty-Salem’s football team did most of its damage in the first half Friday against visiting Triad and came away with a convincing 44-0 Ohio Heritage Conference victory on homecoming night.

The Tigers move their record to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the OHC standings as the Cardinals drop to 1-6, 1-4.
Levi Moell highlighted the WL-Salem offense with 43 rushing yards and a score to go with 51 receiving yards and a touchdown. Braden Miller piled up 125 rushing yards on just two carries and Major Stratton had 61 rushing yards on eight carries.
Defensively, Stratton had nine tackles and a sack, Moell had five tackles and Allen had an interception.
Jordan Simonelli led Triad’s efforts with 214 passing yards and 27 rushing yards. Cam Atchison tallied 126 receiving yards on seven receptions and Isaiah Bruce had 42 receiving yards.
The Cardinals’ defense was led by Easton Huffman with seven tackles and one sack, Cam Bose had six tackles and J.C. Alexander and Simonelli each had three tackles.
Perry keeps Ridgemont winles
Lima Perry rolled to a 56-6 win over visiting Ridgemont in Northwest Central Conference football action Friday night.
The Commodores rise to 4-3 overall and 4-0 in the NWCC, while the Gophers remain winless at 0-7, 0-4.
Troy Cameron completed nine passes for 60 yards and a touchdown to spark Ridgemont’s offense. Jadon Miller caught three passes for 41 yards and a score and Tyrese Patterson had four catches for 17 yards. L.J. Jackson added 29 rushing yards on seven carries.
