Illyssa Vivo, 25, of Hialeah, Fla., was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to a crash Saturday evening on County Road 18.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Bellefontaine Fire and EMS responded about 5:30 p.m. to the 1500 block of C.R. 18 about in reference to a vehicle that was parked off the east side of the road with heavy front end damage.
Vivo was medically cleared by squad members, and then talked with deputies. She reported that she was driving to a wedding venue and attempted to make a turn into the driveway along C.R. 18 when she drove off the road into a ditch and struck a telephone pole.
The defendant admitted to drinking alcohol before leavingfor the wedding. Deputies asked her to step out of the vehicle and observed that she was unsteady on her feet. She was administered field sobriety tests, and then was placed under arrest.
At the Logan County Jail, she refused to take a breath test.
She was released to a sober person.
