Wayne D. Duty, 66, of Springfield, passed away Thursday June 8, 2017, in Southbrook Care Center.
He was born July 4, 1950, in Pedro, the son of William and Rose Sizemore Duty.
Mr. Duty enjoyed mushroom hunting, camping and fishing, but his favorite hobby was car racing. He was employed at Hursh Container.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Berry Duty; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kandy Dut of Springfield; two grandchildren, Cheyenne Duty and Brandon Young; stepbrother, Homer (Kathy) Lee of Coalgrove; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Eloise Duty; and a sister, Kathryn Duty.
A gathering of family and friends is from 6 to 8 p.m Thursday, June 15, in the Jones-Kennney-Zechman Funeral Home, 1002 E. High St., Springfield.
