Jennifer Cooper, 47, of Columbus, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to a traffic stop Saturday evening.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department on patrol about 7 p.m. in the area of U.S. Route 33 near Township Road 239 stopped a vehicle operated by Cooper for a marked lanes violation.
Upon making contact with the driver, signs of impairment were observed. She submitted to field sobriety testing and was subsequently placed under arrest for OVI.
Cooper also submitted to a breath test and tested 0.162 blood alcohol content. She also was cited for marked lanes and was released to a sober driver.
Officers of the Russell’s Point Police Department assisted.
