Vivian Kay Kissinger fought the good fight and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017.
She was born Sept. 24, 1946, to the late Roy and Darlene Austin. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Dye; sister, Sue Austin Herring; and husband, Jim Kissinger.
Kay attended Riverside Local Schools and retired from ODOT in 2009. After retirement, she moved to Bluefield, W.Va., to spend time with her first and true love, Bobby B. Barber.
Kay will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sandy (John) Reid and David (Lori) Barber. She will also be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren, Josh Strayer, Justin Strayer, Jaylee Reid, Stefan (Kayla) Barber and Alexa Barber; as well as great-grandchildren, Evan, Emma, Abigail and Isabelle Strayer. She was a great mother, and loving grandmother, who believed in honesty, personal responsibility and hard work.
The Rev. Bill Halter officiates a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov 25, in the Fairview Cemetery in Quincy through arrangements by the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
