Barbara J. Bach, 89, of Lakeview, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Nov 19, 2017. She was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Lawrenceville, Ill., to the late Maurice and Frances Abernathy Shaw. On May 31, 1947, she married Charles Melvin Bach in Lawrenceville and he preceded her in death April 5, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Wilberta Shaw.
She is survived by four children, Larry Joe Bach and Steve (Anita) Bach, both of New Smyrna, Fla., Kathy (Aaron) Musick of Troy and Polly (Tarry) Crumley of Lakeview; four grandchildren, Tarra (Scott) Aufderheide, Joshua (Jen) Musick, Levi Crumley and Sarah Musick; seven great-grandchildren, Destiny and Adrian Crumley, Avery and Emerson Aufderheide and Kimberly, Morgan and Hannah Musick.
Barbara was a 1946 graduate of Lawrenceville High School. She was a member of Hi-Point Church of Christ in Bellefontaine and formerly attended Piqua Christian Church. Barbara was an artist of pine needle weaving and crocheting as well as a seamstress. She always worked part-time to raise a family of 6, and raised a garden to always feed her family.
Memorial services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at First Friends Church, 808 W. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine. Inurnment with graveside services will be held in Lawrenceville Cemetery, Lawrenceville, Ill., at a later date.
