Melinda Anderson, of North Lewisburg, did not report any injuries after her vehicle struck a downed tree Monday morning during windy weather conditions.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating an eastbound sport utility vehicle about 6 a.m. on County Road 153 near County Road 277 when her vehicle struck the downed tree in the roadway. The vehicle continued over the tree and struck a guardrail on the right side of the road.
Allen Township EMS also responded to the scene.
Damage was moderate to the SUV, which was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing her seat belt and no citations were issued, deputies report.
-Beverly B. Beck, 64, of Bellefontaine, was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of possible injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 33 Monday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a westbound car in Harrison Township about 3:50 p.m. when she failed to maintain lanes and went off the right side of the road, striking a tree and then striking a culvert while the vehicle was in a spin. The car also struck a guardrail before coming to a final rest on the north side of the guardrail.
Beck was cited for failure to control and she was wearing her seat belt, deputies report. Damage was heavy to the car, which was towed from the scene.
