Vanessa Voris, 61, of Urbana, passed away Tuesday, Feb.13, 2018, in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
She was born Oct. 7, 1956, in Bellefontaine, a daughter of Dale King, who survives, and the late Nancy Sue Siegenthaler King.
Vanessa enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and going to West Virginia to see the beautiful scenery. She liked to cook and was an excellent wife. Vanessa loved to play with children, especially her grandchildren and dog.
Vanessa is also survived by her husband, William Jerome Voris; her daughters, Staci Masem and Amber Voris; her sons, Chris (Alisa) Stewart and Zachary (Ashley) Voris; her grandchildren, Destiney Cole, Makayla Cole, Shelbie Masem, Kylie Stewart, Alex Stewart and Emme Jo Voris; her great-grandchildren, Grayson Matthew and Elizabeth Hope; her brother, Gregory (Karen) King; her father- and mother-in-law, Don and Judy Beard; her sisters-in-law, Tammy Turner and family and Bridget (Jeff) Eichemeyer and family; as well as niece, Brianna and several other nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jason Voris.
Funeral services are at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, in Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana, following calling that begins at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Ken Woode officiates.
