ATVs not permitted; golf carts limited to fair board use
Efforts will be taken during this year’s exposition to limit the number of golf carts as well as four-wheelers and/or all-terrain vehicles on the grounds, Logan County Fair Board members reported Wednesday in a regular meeting.
Customer complaints to the fair board office from fairgoers have precipitated the change, the board of directors reports, and steps need to be taken to “reign them in.”
No ATVs will be permitted on the fairgrounds this year, according to discussion.
Additionally, use of golf carts will be limited for fair board business only.
Space is too limited to accommodate the number of golf carts and ATVs the fair has begun to see, alongside pedestrians making their way about the grounds. It’s not safe for too many golf carts to be weaving in out and of pedestrians walking along the paths, fair board members said. The board will collectively monitor authorized use of golf carts during fair week.
