OSBORN |
The death of a Dublin area doctor whose wife found him inside their home Wednesday morning is being ruled a homicide.
Columbus-area media outlets report that Christopher Osborn, 50, was found dead and that Dublin police were questioning a person of interest.
Osborn’s primary office is in Dublin, but he is affiliated with numerous area hospitals, including Mary Rutan Hospital, where officials confirm he was working part time in the emergency department, employed by Team Health.
Further details about the cause of death have not been released.
Osborn’s father-in-law called authorities to report the death about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday after receiving a call from his daughter and Osborn’s wife, Holli.
The 911 call from Holli’s father, Ed Cole of Quincy, originated from Logan County, Dublin police spokesman Cameron Keir said.
It was routed through the Logan County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center to Dublin police.
Ms. Osborn, a 42-year-old registered nurse, was intoxicated at the time she called her father, Mr. Cole said in the 911 call. He said she awoke from being passed out and found her husband dead in bed.
She called her father from the kitchen and remained on the line with him throughout the call to the Dublin police dispatch.
