Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 9:30 p.m. Friday to 7444 Lake St., Belle Center, on a report of a possible underage drinking party that resulted in one arrest and a report being forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office regarding a number of the party-goers.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with several teens at the residence, and noticed that the property appeared to be vacant.
Hayden Neeley, 14, told deputies that this was his father’s residence and his family recently moved to another house. His father arrivee at the scene later and told deputies he knew his son was having a few friends over that evening, but was not aware that any alcohol was going to be involved.
Deputies were attempting to interview different individuals at the property and during the course of their investigation, Sierra N. Mathews, 14, of 321 Kennedy St., Bellefontaine, allegedly yelled at deputies various times and told them they “needed a warrant” to be at the home.
After being asked several times to stop interfering, deputies placed Sierra under arrest for underage consumption and persistent disorderly conduct. She was transported to the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
A 14-year-old Richwood girl also was transported from the scene by BMRT squad to Mary Rutan Hospital after she was found unconscious but breathing at the home.
Deputies compiled a report that was submitted to the prosecutor’s office for a review of charges regarding eight additional subjects at the home, ranging in age from 14 to 18. Deputies said the other teens were cooperative during their investigation.
