Two men were lodged in the Logan County Jail after a 2:30 a.m. traffic stop Sunday in the 100 block of south Detroit Street.
Kevin S. Latham Sr., 44, of Urbana, was held on three warrants for contempt of court, while Benjamin L. Cartwright, 39, of West Liberty, was charged with illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility, possession of LSD, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of synthetic marijuana and carrying concealed weapons.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department on patrol was able to use a license plate reader to determine Mr. Latham was wanted and initiated a stop.
A loaded handgun was found in a cloth bag placed by Mr. Cartwright on the rear passenger area floor board. He also has a small amount of LSD in a foil wrapper found by jailers during a search.

Timothy K. Reisinger, 26, of West Mansfield, was arrested Saturday on an Adult Parole Authority warrant.
He was found around 3:30 p.m. inside a bathroom at Cassandra Reisinger’s 417 Walker St. residence smoking a cigarette.
He was violating court orders to stay away from Ms. Reisinger as part of a domestic violence case.
