Cole Lee Bader, 27, of Urbana, and Hannah R. Lykins, 24, at large, were arrested Friday after an 8:30 p.m. traffic stop in the 800 block of east Sandusky Avenue.
Lykins was charged with taking the identity of another, obstructing official business, possession of cocaine, illegal use of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear and a parole violation.
Bader was charged with obstructing official business.
They were passengers in a pickup truck operated by Lance A. Wilson, 46, at large, who was stopped and cited for driving under suspension.
When asked for identification, Bader refused claiming he’d done nothing wrong. An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department pointed out he was in violation of the Ohio’s safety belt law. He then complied and provided identification.
He also allegedly lied about Lykins’ identity.
Lykins lied about her identity and the officer was familiar with her from past arrests. When confronted, she maintained her lie, saying she has a “crazy aunt” named Hannah and everybody says they look alike.
The officer reports she provided two dates of birth, neither of which matched the name given.
Her purse was searched at the Logan County Jail and the officer found plungers from hypodermic needles, a pipe for smoking crack cocaine, capsules commonly used to hold heroin and a small plastic bag with cocaine residue.
