Twila A. Howell, 79, of Bellefontaine, passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, in Mary Rutan Hospital ED, as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born Oct. 18, 1936, the daughter of the late Jack and Hazel Scott Howell.
She is survived by her long-time loving partner, David Downing Sr.; along with David’s son, David (Katie) Downing Jr.; three sisters, Dorris Mills of Bellefontaine, Velva McDermick of Santa Fe and Donna Jean; a brother, Charles Howell of Wapakoneta; and many nieces and nephews.
Twila worked for KTH and also at the Comfort Inn, Bellefontaine, but she loved helping David haul livestock. She was a fun-loving person, always smiling and laughing. She never knew a stranger. She enjoyed music and in her younger years, she sang and yodeled.
Dr. Scott Anderson officiates a funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial is in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Gutman.
