Triad’s boys basketball team was unable to slow down visiting Greeneview in a 71-59 loss on Tuesday in Ohio Heritage Conference action.
The Cardinals fall to 0-7 overall and 0-5 in the OHC South division. The Rams improve their record to 9-2, 6-1.
Greeneview grabbed control early with a 26-14 run in the first quarter. The Rams extended their lead to a 38-25 score by halftime.
Triad could not mount a rally in the second half.
Ayden Spriggs led the Cardinals with 17 points, Dillon Nott tallied 13 points and Drew Campbell added nine points.
In junior varsity action, Greeneview beat Triad 60-34. Jacob Warner led the Cardinals with 10 points.
The freshman game saw Greeneview drop Triad 47-40. Cam Hess powered the Cardinals with 20 points.
Triad travels to Southeastern on Friday for another OHC contest.
