Bellefontaine’s girls and boys bowling teams came up short to Urbana on Tuesday in a pair of Central Buckeye Conference matches at T-P Lanes.
The Lady Chieftains fell to the Hillclimbers 2,354-2,260.
“Our girls put up a fight, but we just didn’t have our best outing,” said BHS girls head coach Jane Kline. “We managed to stay within 22 pins in the regular games, but we just had too many opens in the baker to catch up.”
Lindsey Heminger paced BHS with games of 168 and 183 for a 351 series, Kayla Watkins rolled games of 171 and 159 for a 330 series, Abby Bailey had games of 151 and 168 for a 319 series, Brynn Noffsinger had a game of 175 and a 319 series and Ashley Ehmer added a game of 165.
In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine beat Urbana 1,855-1,532. Akayla Ryan led the Chiefs with games of 169 and 148 for a 317 series.
Bellefontaine’s boys lost to Urbana 2,796-2,593.
Beau Salyer sparked the Chieftains with games of 180 and 264 for a 444 series, Isaiah Henry had games of 209 and 234 for a 443 series and Ian Salyer added a game of 225.
Bellefontaine travels to Jonathan Alder on Friday for CBC action.
