Bellefontaine City Schools’ longtime treasurer and chief financial officer received superior marks in a number of different categories from board of education members during his annual evaluation completed during the Monday evening board meeting.
Keith Krieger, who has worked in the district for 37 years, has entered the third year of a five-year contract, which continues through July 31, 2019. Last year, he received a 21⁄2 percent increase on his base salary, with a new base salary of $94,291.
In a statement prepared by the board, members expressed their appreciation for his dedication to the district and the expertise he brings to the position.
“Keith Krieger is a proven and true fiscal leader and he provides sound financial guidance and oversight for Bellefontaine City Schools. The fiscal accountability demands for a public school district are staggering, and we are very aware that the financial stability of our school district is crucial in the education of our students.
